Peter Hagermoser has served as the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Apex Friendship High School since 2019, after spending the 2018 season as the program’s JV coach. He has also been a teacher at Apex Friendship since 2017. Peter is married to his wife, Kelsie, and they are the proud parents of two children, Ellie and Brooks. He is proud to be part of the Apex Friendship community both in the classroom and on the lacrosse field.
Dylan Wolford is a graduate of Apex High School, where he played lacrosse under legendary head coach John Hayden. He continued his playing career at Westminster College, earning All-Conference honors during his collegiate career. Coach Wolford joined the Apex Friendship lacrosse staff in 2023 and has since served in a variety of roles within the program. His playing experience and knowledge of the game have made him a valuable member of the Patriots coaching staff. Off the field, Dylan is married to his wife, Aliza, and they have a son, Wyatt.
Dave Burrell joined the Apex Friendship lacrosse staff in 2026. A graduate of Cardinal Gibbons High School and a lifelong Wake County resident, Coach Burrell was part of the early foundation and growth of high school lacrosse in North Carolina. When he is not volunteering his time with the Patriots lacrosse program, Coach Burrell serves as the General Manager at Crossroads Ford of Wake Forest. Coach Burrell brings a wealth of lacrosse knowledge and experience to Apex Friendship, but his impact extends well beyond the field. He genuinely cares about every member of the program not only as lacrosse players, but as young men and is committed to helping them grow both on and off the field. Dave is married to his wife, Stacey, and has three children: Izzy ’22, Rocco ’26, and London.
Coach Tingen is a graduate of Apex Friendship High School, where he played lacrosse for Coach Hagermoser for three seasons. He continued his lacrosse career at UNC Wilmington, where he was a member of the UNCW Club Lacrosse program and held a leadership role within the team. Coach Tingen brings the same intensity and competitive edge to coaching that defined him as a player. His ability to challenge, motivate, and get the very best out of his players is unmatched, making him an invaluable member of the Patriots coaching staff. When he is not coaching at Apex Friendship, Coach Tingen works professionally as an Assurance Associate at Forvis Mazars.
